For performances last Wednesday night, the #Idols took on a Queen song and another song of their choice. We had a total of TWELVE fabulous looks to create! Here are some exact and similar pieces of what your favorite Idols wore. And if you #LOVE fashion, check out my latest Idol Style video on AmericanIdol.com!
(LEFT, “Save Me” by Queen) Hollie wore a red #HOT pants + jacket combo [here’s the blazer] by Bec & Bridge, a Forever 21 simple shell tank, and Bebe shoes. Jewelry included Neon Dirt earrings and y-shape necklace [Urban Outfitters carries a similar style], and rings by Charriol.
(RIGHT, “The Climb” by Miley Cyrus) I styled Miss Hollie in this exact God Save LA bustier top from Kitson (at under $100 this shimmering piece is a steal!), an Abyss kick-out skirt that I’d been holding onto since the beginning of the season [here’s a similar one by BB Dakota], and shoes by Boutique 9. Jewelry included a Deepa Gurnani necklace, a Charriol bracelet, and Bijou Tresor ring.
(LEFT, “The Show Must Go On” by Queen) Skylar wore a sparkly alice + olivia dress [for the budget fashionistas, Forever 21 offers a similar dress], this Bebe belt to show off her tiny waist, and Steve Madden shoes with Kizmit customizations. Jewelry included a Neon Dirt necklace and Supreme Jewelry rings.
(RIGHT, “Tattoos On This Town” by Jason Aldean) I styled this tough country diva in a Lipsy dress [here is a similar one with gold embellishments], a custom Kizmit fringe vest [if you loved the vest, here’s a black crochet option from Charlotte Russe], and boots by Corral Boots. Jewelry included a Neon Dirt necklace, Bijou Tresor earrings and rings, and a Neon Dirt ring. [Here are similar earrings.]
(LEFT, “Crazy Little Thing” by Queen) Joshua wore an all-black ensemble including an Express button-up shirt topped with a Kill City leather lapel jacket, Zara pants, and custom shoes. Accessories included socks from H&M [make a statement with these H&M socks] and a Pennyroyal Studio necklace. [Loved his necklace? Aldo carries a similar one!]
(RIGHT, “Ready For Love” by India.Arie) I styled Joshua in a Zara top (which brightened his face) and “rubberised” sneakers and the “Brando” style G-Star jacket, pants, and scarf. [Get the jacket look for less with this jacket by Nixon.]
(LEFT, “Fat Bottomed Girls” by Queen) Some color for Phillip this week! I styled him in a Supima tee [American Apparel carries crew tees in every color under the sun], this James Perse button-up shirt, J Brand pants, and shoes by The Frye Company.
(RIGHT, “The Stone” by the Dave Matthews Band) Phil wore a James Perse tee layered with a Hyden Yoo button-up. He took a fashion chance this week with Dylan George jeans with a wax finish [these jeans are similar] and shoes by The Frye Company. Accessories included a J. Crew belt. [Liked his bracelet? Urban Outfitters carries utility bracelets that are similar.]
(LEFT, “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen) I styled this sixteen year-old fashionista in a BCBG Max Azria top, ring, necklace, and crystal spike earrings, a Bod & Christensen “Bobbi” jacket, Parker’s Navajo print skirt [Forever 21 offers a sequin mini for less!], and cool Creative Recreation sneakers with Kizmit customizations. Other jewelry included a Bijou Tresor bracelet and necklace.
(RIGHT, “Dance With My Father” by Luther Vandross) Jessica wore BCBG’s asymmetrical dress in Bright Lime [here’s another BCBG look for less] and belt combo with Jessica Simpson shoes. Jewelry included earrings [these turquoise drop ones are what she wore], necklace, bracelet, and rings all by Bijou Tresor. [If you loved her belt, you’ll love this hot pink one from JCPenney!]
(LEFT, “I Want It All” by Queen) With major bohemian flavor, I styled Elise in a mesh top, this fringed skirt, and duster (with Kizmit customizations), all by Zara, and Unlisted shoes (available at Macy’s). Jewelry, and plenty of it, included a DeLatori necklace, bracelets by Bijou Tresor, and Energy Muse, Bijou Tresor rings, and Energy Muse anklet. [If you loved Elise’s long, #colorful duster, check out Zara.]
(RIGHT, “Bold As Love” by Jimi Hendrix) Elise wore an electric blue Aidan Mattox dress [Dillard’s offers a bright blue option, too!] with Kizmit customizations and Steve Madden shoes. Jewelry included Bijou Tresor necklace [JCPenney offers a look for less] and bracelet, and Silpada rings.
