In her latest collection, French designer Catherine Malandrino sent some seriously cool pieces down the runway. (See some of it on my blog in the post “Peek-a-boo Pieces @ Catherine Malandrino.”)
Those cool pieces included shoes, jewelry, and other accessories, which provided a constant flow of studs and jewels, geometric shapes, and cut-outs down the runway. Eye candy.
Enjoy the #inspiration!

Black, nude and white made way to midnight-blue pieces on Jason Wu’s runway last week during New York Fashion Week.
Feminine shapes, bits of undergarments, and flowing skirts were balanced by leather, pseudo suspenders, and dressed-up collars. I #loved it!

You know a collection is going to be crazy interesting when its inspiration is derived from an early 1940s horror flick (and played on the runway to David Bowie)!
So, did you enjoy New York Fashion Week? Catherine Malandrino’s La Feline Fall 2012 Collection especially popped for me. There was no shortage of brights, vinyl, sheer geometric slices, and corsetry, all bold elements which were balanced with feminine accessories like waist belts and pointed-toe shoes, Swarovski crystals, and snowy-white separates.
The designer herself has already been wearing her latest creations. I could see Pia Toscano #rocking some the long silky numbers, too, whether on stage or on the red carpet.
Here’s your daily dose of femme fatale. Let it inspire you!
